About

Independent research for software buyers

Buyerlytic helps people choose software and online business tools without relying on vendor marketing, affiliate round-ups, or reviews that never mention a downside.

What Buyerlytic is

Buyerlytic is an independent research site. We publish structured reviews, like-for-like comparisons, and buying guides for software and online business tools, with the primary focus on products sold in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Each article is built around a decision: which plan is worth the money, what changes at renewal, which limits will be reached first, and who should choose something simpler. We record our sources and the date each product fact was checked, and we say plainly when something could not be verified.

What Buyerlytic is not

  • It is not a vendor directory, and inclusion is not for sale.
  • It is not a deal site. We do not claim discounts or limited-time offers on a vendor's behalf.
  • It is not a consumer testing laboratory. We do not pretend to have tested software we have only documented.
  • It is not financial, legal, or professional advice.

Who it is for

Buyerlytic is written for small business owners, freelancers, and teams who are about to spend real money on a tool and want to understand the trade-offs before committing. It assumes no technical background, avoids hype, and treats price and time as finite resources.

How we are funded

The site is reader-supported. Some links to products are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not buy coverage, placement, or a favourable verdict, and vendors do not review articles before publication. The full terms are in our affiliate disclosure, and our process is documented in the editorial methodology.

Editorial standards

The principles behind every article

Primary sources first

Pricing, plan limits, and policy claims are checked against the vendor's own documentation. Marketing summaries are treated as claims to verify, not facts.

Verification date on every article

Each review records when its key facts were last checked. If we cannot re-verify something, we say so instead of quietly keeping an old number.

Limitations are part of the review

A useful review tells you who should not buy. Renewal pricing, restrictions, and exit paths get the same attention as headline features.

Commission never buys a conclusion

Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every commercial page. A product's verdict is written before affiliate terms are considered, and no partner reviews drafts.

Research and editing

Buyerlytic's editorial team maintains the review standards, verifies pricing and plan details against vendor documentation, and records when each fact was last checked.

Individual editorial credentials have not been published yet. We do not invent qualifications for the team.
